FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers about enquiries, the process and materials. An enquiry via the contact form is free and without obligation; we get back to you promptly with an initial assessment. MX-Protec works throughout Germany and internationally, based in Ahrensfelde near Berlin.
- How can I reach MX-Protec?
- The quickest route is the contact form on our contact page. You can also reach us by phone or by email at anfrage@mx-protec.de. We will come back to you promptly with an initial assessment.
- When will I get a reply?
- We deal with enquiries promptly. You will normally hear back about your project or preferred appointment quickly, often within a few working days.
- What details are helpful in the form?
- It helps to know the type of project (for example stone carpet, garage coating or terrace renovation), the approximate area and the location with postcode. The postcode in particular helps us a great deal when we assess the job. If you like, you can send photos of the existing surface by email.
- Is the enquiry free and without obligation?
- Yes. Getting in touch and the first assessment of your project are free and without obligation. Only when everything is right do we go on to discuss the job itself.
- Does MX-Protec also work in Berlin and Brandenburg?
- Yes. We work mainly in Berlin and Brandenburg. Our base in Ahrensfelde directly borders Berlin-Marzahn, so we can be on site quickly in districts such as Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Lichtenberg, Pankow and Mitte and in the surrounding area (Bernau, Panketal, Barnim). We also work throughout Germany and internationally.
- Can I request a consultation appointment straight away?
- Yes. Just give your preferred timeframe in the contact form. We will then get in touch and arrange a date that suits you.
- What happens to my data?
- We use your information solely to deal with your enquiry. We do not pass it on for advertising purposes. You will find full details in our privacy policy.
- Which services can I request?
- These include stone carpet (marble gravel), design concrete, seamless Comfort Floor systems from SIKA and Arturo, and industrial and garage coatings. We also renovate balconies, terraces and stairs.
- Is marble gravel suitable for outdoor use?
- Yes. Marble gravel is open-pored, water-permeable and frost-resistant, which makes it a good choice outdoors. It is often laid on terraces, stairs, balconies and around pools, where it stays walkable for years.
- How much does a stone carpet cost per square metre?
- The price depends on the area, the substrate, indoor or outdoor use and the material you choose. We can therefore only give a reliable figure after a free on-site survey. Tell us the area and the location with postcode and we will send you an honest, no-obligation estimate.
- How long does a stone carpet last?
- A professionally laid stone carpet is very durable and stays walkable for many years in normal use. What matters is a sound substrate, clean workmanship and the right sealant. Indoors it is especially easy to care for; outdoors it is open-pored, water-permeable and frost-resistant.
- How far can design concrete be tailored?
- Texture, colour and sheen are agreed with you: from a calm fair-faced concrete look to a pronounced rock or stone texture. The surface is laid seamlessly on site, so the finished area reads as one continuous, generous plane.
- Can design concrete be used on walls as well?
- Yes. We apply design concrete to both floors and walls, in living rooms, bathrooms, hallways and reception areas as well as shops, studios and practices. The seamless surface is easy to look after and can run straight from floor to wall.
- What sets Comfort Floor apart from other floors?
- Comfort Floor is a seamless resin floor that feels soft and warm underfoot yet stands up to hard wear. It comes in a wide range of colours and can be run without joints across large areas. We work with tested systems from SIKA and Arturo.
- Where is a Comfort Floor used?
- In flats and houses, and equally in practices, studios and retail spaces. The closed, seamless surface is hygienic, easy to clean and pleasant to walk on.
- Which coating system suits my floor?
- Production areas, workshops, warehouses, parking decks and garages each call for a different system, from a hard-wearing epoxy coating to a flexible PU floor. We choose it according to load and use, and fit the work around your operations.
- How hard-wearing is an industrial coating?
- The coatings withstand mechanical and chemical loads and can be set to the slip resistance you need. As a closed surface without joints they are hygienic, low-dust and easy to clean.
